BIO-IV Soil Mixture

50 pints of soil were blended and placed into 1.5-pint potting cells (4”X4”X4”) that consisted of the following:

35 pints of topdressing sand = 70%
11 pints of Sphagnum peat moss = 22%
2 pints of worm cast = 4%
2 pints of compost = 4%

To this mixture the following was thoroughly blended into the soil mixture:

1.5 oz. Sustain 4-4-4 + Fe (Organic Fertilizer)
1.5 oz. 0-52-34
.3 oz. 46-0-0 (Urea)

Purpose of the Dithiopyr Study

To determine the amount of damage caused by the DNA pre-emergent herbicide, dithiopyr (Dimension), in bentgrass.
To determine if the rooting damage caused by dithiopyr can be offset by the use of selected products.
Compare rooting on bentgrass with the use of selected products alone to dithiopyr plus the selected products and to no treatment (control).
